3DBear is a Finnish educational technology company specializing in immersive digital learning solutions for vocational education and training (VET). Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Helsinki, 3DBear develops Simuna, an AI-powered learning platform that combines extended reality (XR), interactive simulations, and intelligent content authoring tools.
3DBear’s solutions are used by approximately half of Finland’s vocational schools, covering fields from healthcare and social services to construction and sustainability. The company’s approach emphasizes work-based learning through realistic simulations built on real workplace scenarios, co-developed with educational institutions and industry partners.
In the NEXR project, 3DBear leads the development of XR training content (WP4), including 360-degree VR scenarios and AI-based interactive learning exercises for nursing education. The company brings deep expertise in AI-assisted content production, immersive learning design, and scalable educational technology platforms.

3The Health University of Applied Sciences Tyrol is currently educating over 1740 students for the healthcare sector. Research at the fh gesundheit is aimed at high-quality, applied research that contributes to population health and health maintenance. This also honours the commitment to a research-led culture in line with the Health University of Applied Sciences Tyrol mission statement we educate the future.
To achieve this, future education technologies have to be considered and co-developed. The Institute for Innovation, Sustainability, and Transformation in Health Care and Social Systems (InnTra) stands for innovation, sustainability and transformation and health in all policies. Based on our participatory philosophy, we collaborate with stake- and shareholders, including decision makers, client groups and self-representatives.
Together, we research, develop, and implement visionary responsive approaches, promoting biopsychosocial health, quality of care, and quality of life. As an interprofessional team, we contribute to innovation and sustainability as well as to (societal) transformation on all system levels.
Within the NEXR project we will research the user-perspective from teachers and students by applying participatory methods, bringing in the background and network of our health university. We will test and evaluate the developed processes, methods and teaching- materials with the different stakeholders.
SKILLS DIVERS
Skills Divers specializes in European education and innovation projects, with a strong focus on vocational education and training (VET), digital learning, and skills development aligned with European policy priorities. The organization supports the design, implementation, and dissemination of EU-funded initiatives, particularly in areas such as digital transformation, immersive learning technologies, sustainability, and advanced technical skills.
Within NEXR, Skills Divers leads the definition of a new curriculum for nursing educators on the pedagogical use of Extended Reality (XR) in education. This work focuses on identifying the competencies, learning outcomes, and teaching methodologies required for teachers to effectively integrate XR technologies into nursing training environments. Building on this curriculum framework, Skills Divers also coordinates the development of training materials, ensuring that the resulting resources are pedagogically sound, accessible, and aligned with vocational education standards.
Skills Divers brings extensive experience from numerous European projects related to vocational excellence, curriculum design, and innovative learning methodologies, including initiatives connected to Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs), digital education, and emerging technologies.
Through this experience, the organisation contributes expertise in competence-based training design, instructional material development, and the integration of immersive technologies into professional education, supporting the NEXR project in strengthening the capacity of nursing educators to adopt XR-based teaching approaches.
ESNO
ESNO is umbrella organization who promotes and represent interest of specialist nurses in Europe. Through collaboration with stakeholder’s organizations and utilising advanced science, we pursue recognition under Directive of Professional qualifications and contribute to effective cooperation between healthcare professionals.
ESNO implements long term strategies and policies to cohesively advance professional development and health projects in Europe. We achieve this through consultation with member colleagues and management associates. Through this cooperation we participate in a number of European Union institutions, forums and platforms, often with our partners in the health workforce.
Our network consists of a large variety of nursing field specialisations such as clinical work, research, education, leadership and standardisation in hospitals, community and universities. We, and our colleagues, consult and cooperate with healthcare professionals such as medical practitioners, pharmacists, occupational therapists, management and nursing associations in Europe and globally.
ESNO vision is to promote, support and develop academically accredited training programs for qualified specialist nurses to address quality and safety of care and mobility of workforce within Europe.
OVGU
Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg has a distinctive profile. It aims to create a lean and sharply-defined structure with its main focus of expertise in the traditional areas of engineering, the natural sciences and medicine. It also views economics and management and the social sciences and humanities as essential disciplines for a modern university in the information age. The University sees its main task as raising the standard of education and scholarship through teaching and research.

IES Los Albares in Cieza is a public secondary school located in the south-east of Spain that offers a broad and modern educational experience.
